On October 16, 2017, the official award ceremony of the FrancÉducation Label was held at the Future Foundation School in Calcutta.

The FrancEducation Label is awarded by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the French Ministry of Education to schools which, in their national school system, provide bilingual French education in their school.

The Future Foundation School is the first school in India to receive this distinction and is part of a global network of 10 schools in Asia.

After a warm welcome and a musical show offered by the students of the school, Mr. Mitter, Principal of the Future Foundation School, Mr. Syed, Consul General of France in Calcutta, Mrs. Doublier, Attaché of Educational Cooperation, and Mr. Plancon, director of the French Alliance of Bengal, each took the floor. They reiterated the importance of learning a foreign language from an early age and the benefits of knowledge of French language and culture as a future perspective for these young children. They also thanked all the people who had actively worked on the Francophone Bilingual Project, and particularly Ms. Monami Basu, Head of the French Department, with the Teaching Team of the Future Foundation School.

The ceremony ended with the unveiling of the plaque on the school wall in the presence of many parents and the press.
