Mutual Recognition of Academic Qualifications

On 1st May, the agreement between France and India for the Mutual Recognition of Academic Qualifications, signed during President Emmanuel Macron’s maiden State visit to India in 2018, came into force. It is the first such intergovernmental agreement that India has entered into. The agreement was inked by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 10 March 2018, during the India-France Knowledge Summit. This was the first high-level summit for university, scientific and technological cooperation held by the two countries.
