Participants will write a text under the dictation of Ms Prit Pandya, teacher at Alliance Française of Pune. 

The text was written by Scholastique Mukasonga, an autrice, which means a francophone female author. It was proposed by Dr. Ena Panda, teacher at the Germanic and Romance Studies of Delhi University.


The programme starts on 19th March at 5 pm. It will be streamed here through video.

  • Introduction by Dr Nicolas GHERARDI, Deputy Counsellor for Education, Science and Culture, IFI. He will remind the rules (10 minutes).
  • Dictation – your turn to play! (20 minutes).
  • Live discussion between Ms Anuradha Karkun, teacher at Mother’s International School and President of IATF North zone, and Mr Eric Perrotel, Attaché for cooperation in French language at IFI (Institut Français en Inde).

Anuradha and Eric will comment on the text and will help you discover the universe of the selected author.

Rules of the game

The page will feature a dedicated space for you to type the text.

Ms Prit Pandya, teacher at Alliance Française Pune, will read the text once at a normal pace. Then she will proceed with the dictation at a slow pace. Once you wrote it down, read your text and check your spelling.

When you are confident, validate your text and view your performance (it’s a self-check exercise).

Do not cheat! We just want to have fun!

Open to everyone! Recommended for a public aged 16 and above, with an intermediate level of French.
