Every creator has a space he belongs to, away from his usual environment and obligations. A creative residency allows for a safe space for encounters, disruption, co-creation and co-production, immersion in a new ecosystem. You’re a French artist aspiring to explore your own practice within a community in India, or an Indian artist wishing to experiment with new tools and techniques in France, discover the array of residencies available for new creations.


SAF x Arles Grant
Art Scribes Award : Developed by the Prameya Art Foundation, Arts Scribes Award  is intended for young curators and/or art historians, whose reward is a residency at the Art Centre of the Château de La Napoule (Mandelieu-La-Napoule). 
Praf Artist in Residence (PAIR) Award : in collaboration with the Institut Français Paris, the Cité internationale des art, the French Embassy in India and the Institut Français en Inde, the Prameya Art Foundation has launched the second PRAF Artist in Residence (PAIR) Award. Started in 2019, this award is designed as an initiative to extend the presence of artists from India, and promote artistic exchanges and opportunities abroad. More specifically, this prize supports mid-career artists who have exhibited widely in India and stand to benefit significantly from an intensive residency in an eminent French institution.  
Prakriti Excellence in Contemporary Dance Awards (PECDA) : IFI facilitates the participation of the winner of the Prakriti Excellence in Contemporary Dance Awards (PECDA), an award for a young Indian contemporary dancer, in the Camping program. Developed by the National Dance Centre, Camping is a platform for workshops, a unique experience of encounters with artists from the international choreographic scene. This training is held in Pantin and in Lyon.
Les appels de la Cité internationale des Arts à Paris : Every year, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes over 1,000 artists from 90 different countries in more than 300 studios in the Marais and Montmartre districts of central Paris.
