Future Tour Aerospace & Aeronautics

The Future Tour on Aeronautics & Aerospace was organised in Bangalore on 29-30th January 2018, in presence of Priyank Kharge, Karnataka's Minister for IT and Fran├žois Gautier, Consul general in Bangalore. Co-organised by Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) and the French Institute in India (IFI), this event brought together more than 150 scientists, academics, students, alumnis, and representatives from private companies to explore potential new collaborations between Indian and French institutions.

 

These two days intense of exchanges were centered around the theme of Aeronautics & Aerospace, a major pillar of Indo-French economic and political relations as shows the long lasting collaboration in the sectors of civil aviation, defence aeronautics, and space.

 

On the first day, representatives from the best French higher education and research institutions of the sectors, along with companies such as Airbus met their Indian counterparts to discuss future projects of collaboration. On the second day, 150 students were given information about studies in France and got an opportunity to interact one-on-one with representatives from French universities.

 

The results of this brain-storming were unveiled at the Knowledge Summit, the first Indo-French Summit on higher education and science. This Future Tour was the first of a series of 7 thematic events across India, which ended on the 18th of February in Ahmedabad.
