Indo-French Cell for Water Sciences (IFCWS)

Created in 2001, the Indo-French Cell for Water Sciences (IFCWS) is a collaboration between the Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bangalore) and the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD, France). IFCWS is a major partner of the long-term Indo-French collaboration on remote sensing, using satellites along with large-scale modeling to study land use and land cover changes, global water cycle, climate and monsoon variability, continental hydrology and ocean-atmosphere dynamics.
